Took both of my new 22/45 to the range yesterday. The 4.5" slabside is sweet. The removable grip 5.5" Target jammed once or twice each magazine. 7 different magazines, 3 different ammos. Same results.
Not a classic "stovepipe." The bolt went far enough back to strip a fresh round but the round would get tangled up in the spent case that got left in the receiver. Bent the fresh round so I couldn't use it, too.
Sure seems like the extractor is slipping off the spent case & leaving it in the receiver. I'll be ordering up a couple VQ parts tomorrow unless somebody has a better idea.
I know Ruger would hook me up but I'd rather avoid mailing the thing off if I can.
EDIT: I THOUGHT I'd seen this topic recently. Getting old sucks.
