Often a new aftermarket hammer /sear will do this. There's plenty of info on bad hammer /sear engagement or the lack thereof. I know of at least two Volquartsen kits that had the problem. It's totally fixable by the vendor/ manufacturer. Contact them ASAP.
Nobody's takin' ya to the "big house" for being a victim of a manufacturing error that you red flagged and sought remedy immediately.

That is pretty much what was causing our problem.Though, not a bad hammer and sear. But just alot of crud buildup on them..
