    Stevens Rifle 80 Years Later

Here is a picture of my dad on his 12th birthday in 1933 with his brand new Stevens Rifle.
    [IMG][/IMG]

Here is a picture that was taken last Christmas, same gun, different car.
    [IMG][/IMG]

This is the gun that he used to teach my brother and me to shoot.

                Family Gun story :

I have my Grandfathers Model 12 Winchester / Pump 12 Gauge
                With a hard leather " Hog-Leg' case

                The story goes :
My Grandpa was working at GM in Detroit in the depression( .42 cents an Hour ) in 1933
Well a co-worker at GM Needed money to save his house from being taken back to the bank
My Grandpa paid $ 25.00 for the Like New Model 12

When Grandma found out about it ......She was Pissed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But when she found out it helped a friend keep his house / O K
Plus he went on a few Rabbit hunting trips and brought home a few meals

I have the shotgun now ,,,,,,,,,,,And it Will stay with me !!!!!
