btw, that is not 30k of 22lr that is 30k of various ammo, including reloads and factory.

Really? I spent all day at the range with my son and 3 of his friends. He wanted to introduce them to shooting, and all three became addicted to it almost automatically. We went through almost 2,000 rounds today alone, having a great time. I ended up giving and transferring each of his friends a brand new 10/22 and 4 bricks of ammo. So that is almost 9,000 rounds that I have used or given away today. Don't open your mouth until you know the entire story.

The hoarding police are out there and I don't care if you have 100k rounds, I don't consider it hoarding. We all know prices of stuff will go up, copper, lead, brass. They are all materials that eventually rise in price. Buying what you can afford now to shoot later is just smart planning. You can never have too much!

Even a "shooter" need not buy 12K rounds at a pop and then brag about it. I suspect he wouldn't have either had there been no "shortage" and thus no story.

Back when I was shooting 22 competitions and working at a range I used to buy ammo in 5/10/20,000 round lots. If you plan ahead like an intelligent person you can save money.

Yes I understand sponsorship, and marketing, and demographics, and global appeal, and all the stuff that goes along with pro sports. The fact is that golf has a much broader appeal to a larger group of well-heeled participants. The basis of my whole post was THE LIFE'S NOT FAIR part. But maybe you missed that. So to clear it up, I'm not whining. I'm stoked for the OP. It continues to amaze me that many participants on calguns, a forum that deals with a lot of freedom issues, are really entrenched in socialist thinking. As much as they would like to think otherwise. And as far as Ex, maybe he's feeling a little unfresh. We could send some massengil.

Congrats. I have to go to Target Masters everyday to buy ammo and use it all at Metcalf over the weekend. 12,000 rounds probably wouldn't last me a month. Sure would save me a few trips to the local gun store though.

I have almost 10k rounds of .22 and my co worker has close to 20k I think. We are both pretty busy during the day time so we dont shoot often but when we see it available at stores or online, we buy. So dont get mad because im sure you would do it if u had the chance.
