    Pretty darn good deal then...

He's a shooter, not a hoarder, or a jerk. No harm, no foul.

If you think he is a jerk, please share your thoughts on his buddy with the 1 million rounds. LOL

Even a "shooter" need not buy 12K rounds at a pop and then brag about it. I suspect he wouldn't have either had there been no "shortage" and thus no story.

Do not worry what the people say..You spent your money for something you wanted. And you are fortunate to have gotten that much at once. If they want to rear their jealous head and call you hoarder, bragger, whatever..Just ignore that..Really none of their business what you buy with your money..

You should be set for a while. My dumb Walmart would only sell me one Fed 550 Bulk pack the other day. Though they had 30 of them..

People do not realize how much .22 you can go through I guess. 12,000 rounds will not even keep I and my Family of five going a whole season.

I hate it when I get below 6000 rounds of .22

In fact I hate it so much I never do

Excelsior, he bought this from a friend, not off the shelf at Walmart or on line thus taking any away from the general public so get over it. Just wish I had a good friend like that.

Had the ammunition been pulled off a shelf, or purchased with the intent to stow the ammunition away, I'd understand the reference, but I happen to know that he's a shooter, as is his son.

Well said, envy will sometimes cause folks to make ridiculous statements. I don't care who buys what and how much with their money. Many who degrade someone for buying lots of ammo would do the same if they had the chance. Name calling went out of style in the 4th grade. To those with ammo envy I say "grow up".

Did you just say that?! He doesn't "NEED" 12k rounds? Who are YOU to tell him how much he needs? And in this community, the "N" word IS a four letter word. How many guns do you "need?" This is America, not a socialist regime where we only get what others feel we need.

This from a guy with a signature that that says "California: love it, leave it or shut up!"

Guess what? California SUCKS buddy. And I can complain about it all I want. I don't have to leave, and I don't have to love it either. I am free to ***** and complain and try and change it, or not.

I'm going to buy 100k rounds of .22lr just to piss you off. Good luck finding any. I might sell some at cost to friends who don't get jealous of what other people have.

Really? I spent all day at the range with my son and 3 of his friends. He wanted to introduce them to shooting, and all three became addicted to it almost automatically. We went through almost 2,000 rounds today alone, having a great time. I ended up giving and transferring each of his friends a brand new 10/22 and 4 bricks of ammo. So that is almost 9,000 rounds that I have used or given away today. Don't open your mouth until you know the entire story.
