What the heck is with people

My Walmart stocks ammo at 9:00 Am everyday..Same time everyday..

Does yours do the same thing?

They got in 11,000 rounds of Federal 550 packs, (20) of them. It was gone in less then ten minutes I am in a pretty small town too. I do not even see how you check that much out in ten minutes

I am going to suggest my idea to a buddy that manages the Sporting counter here and see what he thinks. Maybe it is a bad idea..

My idea is stop stocking the damn stuff at the same time everyday...Maybe even not stock all of it on the same day..Keep some in the back and put it out as different times each day..Maybe that would somewhat deter the flippers And give people with honest jobs a chance at the ammo after work..

Just an idea I thought of..

Do not get me wrong. Really not complaining, just think my idea would give more people a shot so to speak, and those that have to work in the morning like most of us do..

Anyway, good it is coming in in larger amounts and more often..Just need to be quick I guess..

On a side note. I think the quality control of the current .22 ammo has fell to the wayside in place of greed to get as much out the door as possible right now..

Good idea. Another might be for Walmart to limit purchases to one box .22 bulk per person per day, instead of three.

Mine actually does have a 1 limit box on bulk..They limit 100 packs to 1 and 50s to 3, if that even makes any sense mathematically...

I know exactly who the flippers are at my store. I give em the old evil eye when I see them. I would like to do more than the eye, but so far I have controlled myself

I really do not need any right now. But sure would like to see actual shooters/users get it bought locally, than flippers have it for resale..

Problem is, if they put it out at various times, and not all at once, the buddies of the guy who stocks it would get it all. Solves one problem, and creates another.

My question is how long is this BS going to go on for?

Seemed like after Obama #1 .22 lr ammo came back to normal after about a year, but here we are over a year after Obama #2/Sandy Hook and still little change to .22 lr availability… WTF

Stocking it in the morning pretty much guarantees that people who work regular hours are SOL. I'm sick of stopping at my local Big 5 after work only to be told that there was a line for ammo before opening.

Maybe mention it to your local big 5 guy. Maybe they would consider stocking it at different times knowing most people work in the mornings..

I have known my local Walmart sporting goods manager for over 20 years and he will not help me We are friends too..

I am sure there are less than honest guys out there in other places though..

The only reason I would go to walmart is because they have the best prices on ammo and I am fortunate that I have not had to buy any 22. That is the only reason the same people are there on ammo day to buy at a lower retail price. The day my local walmart stops selling ammo is the day I never go back in. Seems like the flippers either don't have a job and use their unemployment check to buy or have a job that is flexible so they can be there at 7 am. I am stocked on most of my calibers and wouldn't waste the time. I feel for the new shooters who can't find what they need locally. I would order on line with much better chances of finding what you need. "Back order" works too.

One day you will able to walk in and buy what you need without seeing grown men waiting in line and fighting over a box of 22!

I am a Chef, so i do not work a normal 9-5. its usually 10-11 hahaha im able to wait outside of big 5 sometimes, but its just a pain in the ***. last time i was the second guy in line. Only one 555 brick, 3 333 bricks and a few 100 and thats it. not really worth it. Better to stay on top ofthe ammo thread.

I can get ammo pretty easily. I'm considering flipping. Any tips?

All Walmart is concerned with is turning the ammo in to cash. The sooner the better. Other than for effect not sure why they'd be interested in staggering their ammo stocking times.

Why people are hoarding .22lr is beyond me. Its just for plinking coke cans.

In 25 years after the bozos fighting over .22lr in the walmart aisle in preparation for Armageddon pass on, their wives will be bringing their hoards in wheel barrels to their local fire station for disposal.

Well they have chosen to limit the amount a customer can buy. So obviously they have some concern other than just selling it to turn it into cash..They do not have to help by limiting people to amounts either, but they do..
