Got any old saw blades for your skill or table saws? I have a bunch. They make a nice "ding" sound if they're hanging when you hit 'em.

These are all great! I've used all at one time or another.
Golf tees painted neon red are really sporty.
Painted clothes pins easily attach to the top of a target backer.
Painted dough balls blow'd up reeeeeaaal gooooood!
.....and don't over look the simply red orange stickers in multiply sizes for cheap visible shooting.

I saved all the empty honey bear jars for a year. Three pack at Costco every month or so.
The last family shooting day we filled them with water and unsweetened red koolaid.
Clay birds, empty and drilled 1lb propane cans at 100 yards, empty shotgun hulls, brass etc.
For the big guns an empty airplane oxygen tank at 500yds and 1 gal water jugs at varying distances.

How about ground squirrels? Totally reactive targets. Mucho fun too!
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Easy beat me to it. Ground Squirrels, they have fun dodging the bullets too.

Critters are off limits at my Range. That's why I feed 'em instead of shooting them.

Always wanted to do this, never have had the time to do it...

Tape some popsicle sticks behind a hand drawn clown target (for teeth), like the carnival game, and shoot some teeth out

Don't mean to hijack, but I just posted some steel targets I made over the holidays. Came out great and just took them to the range and the kids and I had our fun with them.

I have thought about golf balls maybe I could put an eye hook screw into them and hang them from my target stand so they don't go down range.

We shoot at stuff we find in the garage that won't make too much of a mess…softballs, baseballs, old toys, pieces of wood work as well. I'm just thinking now, simply cutting some shapes out of Plywood and putting a spike on them to stick in the ground could be fun. Cheap and they'd splinter up as they "react" to the well placed shots.

Great ideas out there. Makes things interesting.

After the elections, pick up some of those campaign road signs. They push into the dirt easily and you can either paste some Shoot-n-C targets on them or just shoot the pol's names out! Those smaller shoot-n-c's fit into those Obama 'sun' logos well.

Could be theraputic after a bad loss. I also save my stolen and voided credit cards and tape those to a target for further therapy, better than cutting them up.

you can also try shooting the tips off of matches and getting them to light. do it...do it now.
