M&M's....or maybe an inexpensive idea like targets printed on paper.

Golf balls and clay birds have always been fun.

Plus golf balls come in a lot of eye catching colors too. We used to play 'mini golf with 10/22s' 'cause if you hit a golf ball dead center with a .22 most of the time it'll just go sailing down range. Sort of like playing shuffle board.

Tape paintballs to a target backing.

Golf balls are great, and it's hard to beat a good ol' tin can for a reactive target. I save my dog food cans for shooting trips.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've been meaning to try clear taping some paint balls to a target. ^^^^ HEY!

fruit and veggies from the dollar store...you still have to pick up your " target " & trash when you leave, but very little bits and pieces will biodegrade.

and a dollar sack of mini potatoes is a much better deal than most golf balls.

We use old frying pans hung from bailing wire. At about 200yds they can be tricky to shoot when spinning or blowing in the wind. Plus they go bink bink when you hit them. We have a thick stainless one that's been hanging in the same spot for almost a year at the local rock quarry. We sent a 40lb CO2 tank flying off like a rocket there too, with a 7.62x39 AR.

Got one of these for plinking: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Do-All-.22...nd-Up/20371303

After shooting spray the targets with red paint. Forget the little stickers that come with it, they only last one outing. Neat thing is you don't have to reset it. Shoot all day without going out to the target. Very heavy metal, targets are 1/4" thick steel.

.22lr spins it around from 25-40 yds, .22 Magnum and .17HMR spins it around out to 100yds. Don't shoot closer than 25yds with .22lr or 50yds with .22Mag or .17HMR.
