Phoenix 22A 3inch going off Roster

For those that care the 3" HP22A's and their 3" 25 ACPs go off roster by the end of this month.

The 5" versions go off roster April 24th.

I realize some think they are junk, some don't. Guess I'll find out I just ordered the 5" range Kit from Buds. The 3"bbl is $20 from the manufacturer.

Now I just got to find some "standard velocity" ammo whatever that is.

I think all I have is >1200fps stuff.

nevermind the quality for a minute, this gun had quite a few different types of safeties as I recall.
I forget exactly what they are, but it was more than just the magazine disconnect and firing pin block (I'm sure someone here that has one could list the difference safety that this gun requires to operate. I've been told its a real " lawyers night special ".)
yet its dropping from the list that is supposedly making us safer???
could this possibly be used as one piece of evidence in a case against this roster of safety?

They'll have to or they will be out of business.

Companies can't make guns in California that aren't on the roster; unless they are roster exempt.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

aghauler you'll love your little phoenix, mine shoots just as good as my more expensive 22 pistols. As for the safety's there not bad once you know how to use them or you can do the mod. Check out youtube they have a lot of info on them.

Phoenix is, in fact, a cheap gun. HOWEVER, I've had no misfires or jams yet ( except with Remington ammo). Great little gun. Easy and affordable to get replacement parts if needed. Quite accurate as well. I like 'em.

Well Buds Canceled the order claims they aren't legal for California Sales.
So to stir the pot a little I send them this reply. In the interim I'll be shopping around anyway.

                "Hello
Regarding this order you just canceled. I HIGHLY recommend you contact Phoenix ARMS regarding the legality of selling these handguns into California where they are manufactured.

HP22 series handguns are not legal for sales in Califirnia, HP22A series handguns ARE legal for California sales. You list your items as HP22ABB, HP22ANB, HP22ARMB, these are HP22A series pistols.

The "HP22ABB" means blued barrel, the HP22ANB means "nickled barrel", and the HP22ARMB means "Rangemaster".

All HP22A Series pistols blued or nickled are currently legal for California sales per the California DOJ Roster. I would hope you do some research, so I can place an order."
