I am looking at getting a .22 to do some local competitions and just improving accuracy and having fun. I have been looking at getting either a Savage Mk II BSEV or a CZ455 Varmint Evolution. I would like to put some Lyman MJT sights on them but neither rifle has iron sights so I don't know how I would go about that. Both rifles are about the same price. I think the Savage looks better (who doesn't like a stainless barrel with spiral fluting) but I have heard the CZ is more accurate. Any testament to this? I would rather get the more accurate rifle but if they both have comparable accuracy then I would rather the Savage.

Based on what you want the rifle for you cannot do better than buying a CZ. If you want to use aperture sights get a CZ 452 UltraLux which has an extremely long sight radius (long means more accuracy) or a CZ Trainer and a set of BRNO Target Aperture Sights. If you go this route I'll provide you with the contact info for the guy that sells the sights. I use them and they are excellent sights, no modification needed to install except remove the front sight hood and blade and the rear sight (both easy to do). I own a Savage BTVS, Kimber 82G and an Ultralux. The Ultralux is the most accuracte of the three. Don't bother with a semi-auto rifle as they will not shoot with a bolt action rifle unless you spend big $$$ on upgrades. If you go with a scope then a CZ 455 is the best for that in the CZ line.
