Challenged for my source - will not divulge but the person was at shot and is respected within the gun community.

Do a little research on the SR22 between DoJ and Ruger.

Don't freak out just be mindful of what is falling off roster. Another of my lgs is w/o ruger 22's pistols.

Guys... there is a difference between "falling" off Roster and being "removed" from Roster. The SR22 was REMOVED from Roster due to some changes made by Ruger to the SR22 pistol. And now that its been removed by the CA DOJ, in order for it to be certified again, it will have to be re-tested to comply with the most current requirements.

Pistols that fall off roster do so simply due to manufacturer not paying renewal fees.

Ruger made changes to the SR22 that's why it got removed. Is Ruger going make changes to the MKIII? I'm sorry but someone at SHOTSHOW and a respected person with in the community does nothing to contribute to the credibility for your statement. If you say Ruger told you they are making changes to the MK III then you got something. Otherwise CA DOJ can inspect the MK III call they want but without any changes Ruger just needs to renew it.

I know for a fact that at least one of these guns on the above list was removed from Rugers website about a year ago the MKIII678. I wouldn't be surprised if many of these models are no longer listed on Rugers site. If you look a bunch of them are Stainless Steel models. Which while are popular to an extent I am sure make up a very small percentage sold compared to blued.

To me it looks like Ruger is simplifying their offerings. And why keep paying the Roster if you are not going to continue to make these guns.
And anyways there is still time for them to pay the fee if they are not.

Notice that Turners has a lot of Stainless Steel 22/45 on sale recently? I bet its because Ruger is off loading them cheap.

And if they don't want to deal with DOJ BS, then the gun is not re-certified.

Perhaps there are a few manufacturers not going to deal with CA DOJ...
Perhaps the Federal Court will have to rule on the subsequent defacto ban of a class of guns
Lets see what happens with Rugers 22s in Feb.

In the mean time buy while you can, but you got to find them.

Four target models at TargetMasters tonight. None of the new grips for civilians except for one LEO with the rosewood. I need an LEO friend.

Are they looking for manufacturers to implement microstamping?

Of course! This state is modeled after Obama's administration, they think it therefore it is, an imaginary technology and unobtainable.

The Microstamping requirement bill was passed in 2007 and to be implemented when the technology became available.

Please explain how pretty much any of California's gun control is modeled after Obama's administration when it predates him?

There are plenty of things to blame Obama for, we don't have to make stuff up.

Yes, yes, yes predates O but you can't "see" the sacasizm; suddenly Kamila believes that two companies can provide microstamping, such that it's now required.

Please don't read into the post more than what is being discussed, it was microstamping not the larger issue of gun control.
