Walther 578030310 HK 416 Pistol 22LR 10+1 8.5" is this legal in cali . I don't think it is from the flow chart. but my wife would love to buy it she been looking at pistols and ran across this and was like buy me this . and I looked at the flow chart and I think the mag outside grip makes it a no go. but wanted another some others to say its a no go too thanks

It is a YES GO.

You will need to have a magazine lock of some kind installed; I prefer the Bullet Button.

In order to comply with CA's unsafe handgun laws...
It will need to be transferred as a single shot pistol (maglock + 0 round magazine/slde).

In order to comply with CA's assault weapons laws...
After the transfer (4473/DROS/10 day wait), it can be legally modified into a semi-auto pistol with a fixed 10 round magazine (maglock + 10 round magazine).
It must always have a maglock.
It can not be used with large capacity magazines.
It can never have a shoulder stock and/or vertical forward grip attached to it.
