Perhaps $175 - 200 would be fair. However, I am sure the large capacity magazine was lost be her husband many years ago!

Ruger 10-22 price question

I saw one similar to the one the OP described at Oaktree a couple weeks ago for $150! The last '80's vintage one I picked up was $150 and it was almost new. $200 is a fair price if she wants to hold out for every penny and you really want that exact gun. In any event, it's worth more than a new one to those in the know.
She is the ONLY person who can own that magazine in CA. She can not sell it or even offer to sell it to you. It's not worth the felony.
agreed, an older used one is worth more to someone who understands guns than the junk they are turning out now.
WTF is "pre-ban"? It's age has ZERO to do with anything.
WTF would anyone want to buy a brand new 10-22 when the older ones were built better? Seriously, do you have a clue about the differences between an 80's vintage and a 2011, 2012 or 2013? Yea, I didn't think so.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

Yep....except.....
I prefer the metal trigger groups too but the shops that do 10/22 trigger work are pretty much all agree that the plastic trigger groups are better due to tighter tolerances and a couple minor changes that enable them to mod it into a better trigger overall.
