I have a 1982 manufactured Ruger 10-22 I am purchasing from a colleague. She wouldn't give me a price, just asked me not to rip her off (which I have no intention of doing). I have the serial number but am thinking it might not be wise to post it? It is a full wood stock and is gently used. I am looking for a fair price range. I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this question.

Ruger 10-22 price question

New is in the neighborhood of 219 last I checked. 175-200 if not damaged seems fair.Originally posted by TonyNorCalIf I'm going to spend money to touch a woman then it's going to be at a Nevada brothel, on Craiglist hooker, or trolling the streets in a camper van.

I would not buy a 10-22 I would buy a Model 60
, but I agree I would buy a older 10-22 for more money before I would buy a brand new one..Same if I buy a Model 60. I would never buy a new one over a 20 year old used one. I would not buy a new one of either brand..
I would also stay several years back if considering a used 10-22 also..Last edited by AR22; 12-24-2013, 12:23 PM.Comment

Ace Girl bought her 10/22 in 1985 at a hardware store in North Carolina, on sale, for $79.95. It still shoots great - and is probably worth more than she paid for it.

What he said ^^^^. I paid $180 for a used one in good condition. Wanted it because it still had the metal trigger group vs plastic of new. Add a few bucks for the hi cap mag and that would be fair.New is in the neighborhood of 219 last I checked. 175-200 if not damaged seems fair.Comment

The 25rd magazine can not be legally transferred in CA.Laws against murder and attempted murder should have been the only gun control laws ever needed in America...Comment

According to Google Fu an '82 is pre plastic trigger group housing and I believe (could be wrong) it has real blueing on the receiver vice the cheesey paint they use nowadays. A bit more desirable. I would buy it for $200 if it was in good condition.Last edited by Fishslayer; 12-24-2013, 10:15 PM."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
