    Guy on RFC did a write up (with pics) on the internals of the Rascal in case anyone's interested...

    I recently bought a Rascal. Hadn't seen any pics or descriptions of the insides on the interwebs anywhere so I thought I'd open it up for a look see... It has basically the same AccuTrigger as Savage's other rimfires; not a cheapened/miniature version... Note that unlike other AccuTrigger...

      I was looking at the cricket and the rascal. I ended up going with the Rascal because I liked how it cocked with the bolt and didn't need a separate action to cock the gun. I also loved the trigger. The sights could be better but they do make scope mounts for it.

      That being said the cricket is supposed to be very good as well. The rascal fits my 6yr old son and 8 yr old daughter really well. They are able to handle them with ease. Much better than the 10/22 I bought for myself, um I mean for them initially.
