Ruger Mark III SS in the wild?

As far as the question about ammo goes, my Mark IIIs shoot any standard or high velocity ammo very reliably. I have shot cheap Centurion, good CCI, Thunderbolts, Remington Goldens, and Win 333s, and Federal Bulk (my fav) and all of these rounds have been fine. I accidentally tried some subsonics last month and they would not work the action of the gun. Other than that, my Mark IIIs shoot everything very reliably.Come and Take It!

Good to know. Yeah, I would be leery of subsonics on a semi automatic. I believe they are for bolt action or revolvers.

MKII ya say? Just picked up this 6 7/8 Target slabside a couple weeks ago at American Shooting Center. I don't blame ya. When I saw it I had an instant boner. A handsome pistol fer sher
Then I started looking for magazines...
Then I got laid off a week later.

My MKIII 22/45 eats everything. The MKII scarfed about 200 rds of Win M-22 with zero malfs. Did get one stovepipe with Fed bulk.Any recommendations on particular brands or types of .22lr ammo? Is it a fussy eater? Thanks."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
