Turner's in Fountain Valley had a Mark III Target Bull Barrel (Stainless) last week. I bought one there a month ago:

If you are in Sacramento, Cordova shooting center has one.

Thanks everyone. I went down to Turner's in Fountain Valley today. They found my Ruger at there Signal Hill store. Took my HSC test, filled out my DROS and now waiting till November 26th to pick it up. The Mark III's seem to be harder to find. I called three other local firearm dealers and none of them had them. Stockade said they won't deal with them.?
So glad I ordered one today, been lusting after my buddy's Mark II for well over ten years.

Any recommendations on particular brands or types of .22lr ammo? Is it a fussy eater? Thanks.

Do you mind me asking how much you paid for it at turners?

They had one at So Cal Gun on Convoy in San Diego last night.
                        Very nice balance.

I'm picking up my new Mark III Target tomorrow and off to the range this weekend. I have ammo from Winchester, Remington, American Eagle, Federal, Aguiliar & CCI mini mags. I will shoot (at least) 50 of each and see which ones misbehave. Some have suggested to start off with CCI as they are good rounds for breaking in the Mark. ...orr maybe that's a YMMV opinion.

Sure, it was $484.99 with tax $523.79. I had to put about 30% to hold to gun. The salesman kinda scared me. He said that if they didn't have the gun in stock, they could take the deposit and wait for Ruger to send another one BUT there is NO GUARANTEE that Ruger will send/make anymore of them. I got the impression from him that Ruger might stop making the Ruger Mark III line. Personally I don't care for the 22/45 so I would really be bummed if I couldn't get a Mark version.
