If your patient you can find reasonably priced .22 lr online. Cabelas has the best deals(and low shipping), and they have been getting bricks in a couple times a week.

Yes they are and I confirmed it at the Chino hills store. My nephew was a part timer at that store.

If I worked at Walmart, I would definitely buy and resell ammo.

Buy it, post onto craigs list with a meeting spot being the parking lot.

If you could make $60-$80 cash every 2-3 days, why not.

Get some coworkers in on the deal as well

        Easy.

My guess is for a year from the Sandy Hook panic - in January 2014 the credit card bills will have stacked up and .22 hopefully will be back on the shelves.

Until they get caught. I'm sure there is a policy in place that they can't resell items bought with their employee discount. If they bought it at regular price then that is a different story. A big corporation like Walmart should have some sort of Loss Prevention personnel monitoring such deals. But who knows, right?

They've tried that locally here as well. They had federal .22 lr bulk packs hidden behind shotgun shells the other day. A good led flashlight and looking at a few angles and voila. 1650 rounds of .22 in hand.
Instead of trying to screw people in the parking lot perhaps they should concentrate on getting higher paying employment.

Yea until somebody figures it out, gets pissed and makes a stink with management. At will employment and questionable employee behavior never ends up going well.

This. Although I haven't found .22 in stores in a long time I did find some 9mm that they were hiding behind some other ammo.

Prices will never be what they "used to be" Personally, I'm not gonna drive around & wait in line, nor "eyeball" people...Some of us are simply NOT intimidated. Reasonable deals are out there, good timing seems to be the key. Look on this thread & check the websites listed. I've been able to get a decent stash built up, maybe a few years worth. I keep talking to people at work & in public & they keep telling me they can't get ammo, BS!

Basically, except everyone forms a neat line and 99% of the people are nice and polite. I've never had a problem. the ammo person wheels it out at whatever time that store sells it, then they sell it out of the shipping cases and take care of everyone before stocking the shelf.

Sadly to say in my area, online is basically the only way to get anything. I can't be in line when a store opens or stocks shelves.

Some walmarts stock at night 8pm, so that might work better for you. If you can't do early or late at night, try one of the sporting goods stores that open at 10. I have had to wait in line, but the ammo is out there with a little work.

A Cabelas gun counter clerk informed me last week that they no longer have to hire a security guard to monitor the folks shoving through the door in the morning. So it may be easing up a bit. Still no 22lr on the shelf in the afternoon though.

This probably wont help. I was in AZ in Aug, went into Walmart, they had 2 bricks of .22, I couldn't believe my luck, 1st time id seen ANY on a shelf if Walmart since Jan. While waiting for ammo guy to unlock case, another customer came in & eyeballed the 22 as well. I told him we could each take brick, I paid, called a buddy back home in CA, told him of my luck, he said he was ALL out of 22 & asked if he could have the one I got. I gave it to him, figured it was good karma, still have not seen ANY more 22 on walmart shelves.......... Oh well at least I have a little in reserve.

Cant believe these guys are STILL lining up at 6 to buy it up. This just SUCKS !!

Good luck, on your search, I'm going back to AZ soon & hope to find some more.........
