I had several AR-7's and feeding was a bit of a problem. Also the magazine didn't always fit tight. Since then I have had 3 Papoose(s?). They all worked great and were totally accurate and reliable. I got talked out of 2 of them but will always keep the stainless one I have left. I have a spare mag pouch for an AR-15 strapped to the butt stock with 6 ten round magazines in it. Nice scope set up BTW.

Thanks Ricky... and that sounds like a great idea for the magazine storage.

I have one and love it! I have a fetish for the packable rifles, the Papoose is the best of the bunch in my opinion. Lighter then a ruger, semi auto, stainless finish.

Also I have a henry mini bolt, it works as a one screw take down (just remove the stock screw using a dime) and have it in a Papoose case.

I also have a Bronco single shot rifle. Light and fun to shoot, but not small enough to store like a Papoose.

They also make a 10 round make rather then the 7 round that comes with the Papoose...

                semi vs bolt

I have been looking forward to new releases of Papoose model forever....but recently...with my bolt 22lr, I have been enjoying (almost exclusively) the hyper ammo.....win 42 max, velocitor yada yada.....I have great hunting accuracy....and I can't use them in the Marlin semis. What genius at Marlin can't install a 'ruger like' new format buffer and remove the stigma of 'can't' shoot hyper...it seems it would be so simple.

so....I may just stay with bolt...........

the length of the well on ar-7 vary greatly most magazines are made long and you have to file the front to make them fit

i bought loads of the ramline 25 rounders back when they made them cause strangly they worked they came with 3 built up plastic nub areas that needed to be filed to fit your gun

if you buy a henry magazine it will not fit in any other gun
