      As promised.

Not bad for a 7 year old at 35 yards using iron sights.

      Thanks again

Great job OP. I have been giving 22lr bricks to my local Boy Scouts. They appreciate it, as do the boys. It's where I learned proper firearm use, my son also. One of the few, true organizations for boys. They have some issues like other organizations, but overall, they are great.

                                Very cool OP!

A "few" years ago, my father-in-law took my son and I shooting at his local range. My son was about 10 years old. He shot a Ruger Single Six, a Marlin Semi Auto and some old Single load Bolt Action that was his great grandfather's. When we were leaving my son looked up to me and said "Dad, that was the most fun I've ever had!"

I didn't own any guns at the time, but a couple months later, it was Christmas and we got him a Ruger 10/22 and I soon bought a Ruger Mark III so we had a pistol to shoot with as well.

"We" have gotten a number of guns since then and still enjoy going out together to the range. Now, I can say, that the effort to spend this type of time with him (and my daughter now and then) is the most fun, or precious time I have with them. It's time spent that is both fun and challenging and slow! Slow is more and more important these days!

We've taken some friends of his along once in a while and it's great to see their faces as they fire their first rounds!

Now I really want to get to an Appleseed with him! I've been updating our 10/22 and turning it into a Liberty Training Rifle. I've heard great things about the program.

Anyway, great idea! I can't wait to see your follow up pictures of the kid(s) who get taken out with your generous offer.
