I believe you still have to pay the tax for the gun because your buying it out of state. What ever FFL you have the rifle sent to will charge you the Tax that you paid for the firearm. Then they will usually charge you a $100 transfer fee and the typical dros. Some shops are cheaper on their transfer fees then others. But it basically ends up being the same price whether you buy it online or at your LGS.

yeah I paid tax on mine from mount pleasant arms. if it comes from an ffl the receiving ffl has to collect tax.I paid 365 plus tax and 65 to transfer. but that transfer included 3 other rifles and dros. cant beat it really. highly recommended if youre near san jose.Just a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.

But then you don't have to buy a rifle that 40 other people have worked the bolt on, spilled bodily fluids on, and not listened to their impulses either.
