I would say that the rifle DOESN'T have an ammo problem and there is no need to shoot pricey stuff through it for a test.
Mine shoots everything I stick in it just fine (though it does shoot better with Remington SubSonics) and I have had no FTE and the only FTF were definitely ammo related.
Give Ruger another chance at it. They will go as far as replacing the rifle to fix the problem and will throw in a mag or two for your troubles. I sent my TD in for stock fitment issues and they installed a set of their Fire Sights for free before sending it back.
