    hunting scope for 10/22

Looking to get a lot of bang for the buck...recomendations for a good hunting scope without breaking the bank. Heard Mueller is a good one? $112 on amazon.

Check out the Nikon Prostaff rimfire 3x9-40 with BDC reticle. For hunting its perfect. I paid 110 shipped. All I can say is its a bad a** scope. It's really clear and the BDC reticle is pretty accurate.

Priced from low to high, I have Centerpointe (3x9x42 was $60 from Wal-Mart), Nikon prostaff, Mueller, Nikon Buckmasters.

All have held zero and have no issues. The Centerpointe has seen well over 5k rounds and has been the best investment, but if I were to be using it for hunting, I'd opt for the Buckmaster. Clearest glass of my collection, but only stands out in low light. During the day, they are pretty equal to one another at the range. I'd pick prostaff second because my Mueller's reticule is a bit fat (thick lines) for hunting. Just my experience - hope this helps any.

        WTB used AK MFER.

WhiteFang...your quote is perfect for my thread! HAHAHAHAHA i'm 43 and wear progressive lens'. The factory iron sights on 10-22's SUCK!!! Checked out Simmons at Turner's today...big sticker on side that says "made in China"! Not trying to support those communist f***s if I can help it. Want to buy American if possible without breaking the bank.

@.40 Nikon was very nice...close to $200 though. The Mueller is American made???? It was the tactical(large dials) Don't know if regular one is cheaper.

+1 for the Nikon rimfire prosaff. Great optic and the BDC eliminates alot of the guess work. Less calculating, more dead varmints.

I just picked up one of these.

AR Optic 2x7 with 22 rimfire BDC

Wont get to mount it or use it till monday when the 10/22 gets freed from jail. Glass is very nice and it has parallax. It also has nice audible clicks.

Sound like most everyone here is leaning towards the Nikon! I do own a Nikon digital camera and it is very high quality.
