What ammo are you using in your SR22

Curious what ammo everyone runs in their SR22 pistols. Most accurate/most reliable and least accurate/least reliable?

I read that Federal Auto Match has a lot of problems in the SR22 pistol. Has anyone experienced this?

I have an issue with Winchester super x . Remington when I was first breaking it in . Only a few issues with that now . But Federal and Blazer work great in mine . Those two are my favorite with my gun so far .

I'm trying to think of a brand that mine doesn't like....

When I had mine, I fed it with minimags. No problems at all.

I've only used Federal Bulk (blue box) in mine and haven't had any issues.

Winchester bulk so far. One FTF almost every other mag, so 1 out of 20 to 25. Haven't tried anything else yet cause I want to run thru the box of 333 first (almost done). Next up will be federal bulk (blue box), then the remington golden bullets.

No. Both of my SR22 pistols will shoot any .22 ammo that I have tried. The gun is extremely flexible about what it shoots. Don't know where you read the thing about Fed Auto Match, but I have never heard that anywhere. I have shot thousands of rounds of Federal Bulk 525 out of my SR22s with no problem, by the way.

Mine eats it all so far, never had any auto match though. It even eats Remington ammo, imagine that. I can't say enough about the little pistol.

My SR22 may have had issues with Rem golden bullets my last time out. The last round of every mag would not feed and jam. Now, it could be that the gun was dirty from a PPT. I shot it right after picking it up from it's 10 day. After that outing, I cleaned it and fed it with Fed bulk and it ran smoothly.

Only issue I've had is with Remington Thunderbolts. I've heard that others have also had problems with this ammo early on, but then the pistol breaks-in and is fine. The issue could be that the ammo isn't jacketed.

Just in case, I did polish my feed ramps, but haven't had a chance to shoot Thunderbolts since I polished the feed ramps.

Other stuff I've shot without issues are the federal 550 and 325 bulk packs, Winchester 333 bulk packs, CCI mini mags.

                    It's a great little pistol.

I ran auto match in mine because it had no problems with it. Some of the 525 round value packs created issues in it as well as M&P22 and M&P15-22 that I won't use those in steel challenge anymore. Only the automatch.

Our SR22 seems to like everything but:
Aquila SubSonic 60gr. Those have to be cycled manually.
Winchester Super-X Hyper Velocity. Those have to be extracted manually. (RIMFIRE AMMO SHOULD HAVE A RIM!!)

The two things that keep our SR22 from working properly:
                        1. The recoil spring must be attached to the recoil rod correctly.
                        2. Limp-wristing. This thing will not cycle Stingers if limp-wristed.

Mine east everything but it is the most accurate with min-mags (if you can get any).

I had the same problem in my SR22. Now I only feed my SR22 CCI minimags.

I've run Eley standard velocity and MiniMags, both hollow point and round nose. Everything has fed great, although I did buy my SR22 used, so it had already been "broken in".

There is a definite "felt" difference between std and high velocity ammo. With the standard velocity it shoots like a *****cat, great for new shooters. Definitely more "snap" when shooting high velocity ammo.

But everything I have put through it feeds, extracts and goes "boom" every time. Probably the only 22 pistol I have which seems immune to differences in ammo.
