    Should I sell my 10/22?

As always, it is a good rifle.

    Unhappy about a few things
    1. Can't get rail for scope to stay tight, always having to remove to re-tighten.

    2. Bolt doesn't lock open on last shot - I forget and always an issue at Angeles

    3. Bolt a pain at times to close - little button is finicky - and haven't filed it down inside.

Probably wouldn't be a big deal, but I bought a walther G22 and now the Ruger just sits. Now the Walther is not perfect by any means, but I much prefer it for plinking over the 10/22.

At this point I don't need to sell it, but the cash could go to another gun I might use more

Sell it to me. My kids love their 10/22 and would welcome another.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

What do you use to keep the bolt lock open after last shot? It's my only complain about my 10 22 rifle

definitely this. besides my 5 year old that i'm slowly training to shoot, i'm the only shooter in my house. i have 4 22lr rifles and i'm always looking for more.
          I don't own any guns...they're dangerous.

...unless you want to sell it to me, of course.

Keep it if you plan to stay in Ca.,. Who knows you may not be able to buy one here in a few years the way it is going now.

                1. Can't get rail for scope to stay tight, always having to remove to re-tighten.

As stated, the non thread locker rated Loctite works or a daub of shellac.

                2. Bolt doesn't lock open on last shot - I forget and always an issue at Angeles

There is an easy modification to the trigger group to cure this. It involves slightly filing an existing hole so the bolt will lock back after the last shot

                3. Bolt a pain at times to close - little button is finicky - and haven't filed it down inside.

A cure for this can be found at RimFireCentral.com along with instructions on how to modify the rifle so the bolt locks back.

Probably wouldn't be a big deal, but I bought a walther G22 and now the Ruger just sits. Now the Walther is not perfect by any means, but I much prefer it for plinking over the 10/22.

looks like keeping it is the way to go.

When I refer to closing the bolt, I mean this thing in the pick. It is finicky and often a pain

And file that bugger down. It was a 10 minute job from start to finish, including disassembly and reassembly time.

Sell it. I sold mine after 2 weeks of owning it. I think its over rated and not all that accurate even with blazzer and velocitor ammo. It was very reliable. I had better accuracy at 35-65m with WASR10, Rugger SP101. And yes, the bolt lock is awful, and so is loading and unloading the mags.

Cheap or OEM rail? Get a good one and locktite! Be sure to degrease screws and receiver threads before using.

                        2. Bolt doesn't lock open on last shot - I forget and always an issue at Angeles
Does not lock on last shot but why an issue? Pull bolt open and engage bolt stop. Did you do the "auto bolt release" mod? Easy to engage and disengage then.

                        3. Bolt a pain at times to close - little button is finicky - and haven't filed it down inside.
                        See above answer. 3 minutes w/Dremel, 20 w/o

Nooo! Keep the 10/22. Need a 22LR rifle and its not going to fetch life altering amount of cash. Besides, you'll come full circle again and wish you still had it!

At this point I don't need to sell it, but the cash could go to another gun I might use more

I got the same problems - sort of

                          1. red loctight
                          2. cod liver pills - good for memory, beats alheimers
                          3. scotch bright inside of received, mine worked much better after that.
