i look at it this way. if you want to dump a decent amount of money in to it get the 10/22 endless aftermarket stuff. if you are going to justify buying a cheap rilfe to shoot cheap ammo and have fun with out breaking the bank on aftermarket stuff then get the marlin. OR just buy both and move on to the next project. but in my experience owning both the 10/22 after the first 1k rds or so its not so picky on ammo amy more. but the tightest groups will go to the marlin both sport a Ncstar scope. cant go wrong with either one for the price point
