10/22 Bolt/Charging Handle

Before you start dumping parts into it, which I am not opposed to by any means, a thorough cleaning is in order, including the use of Scotch Brite on the inside roof of the receiver to remove any paint, to smooth that part that the bolt rides against the most. I am a big dry lube user, because it doesn't create that nasty mud that oil and rimfire residue make when mixed together. Take your magazine apart, make sure it's clean, and re-clock the rotor spring to 8 flats, and lock down, making sure the rotor moves freely. Check that both barrel vee block bolts are snug, some have one or both loose right out of the box. Now shoot it, and see if you are happier with it. There are no limits to how much money you can dump in a 10-22, my wallet can attest to that. I have 11 currently, and they range from lightly modified trainers to full on customs, they are addictive. Yup. Gotta get the basic stuff out of the way before creating a money pit.

My factory Ruger barrel was terrible with spent casings getting stuck in the chamber. I'd have at least one stuck casing every magazine.

Bought a Feddersen (not to fix the stuck cases, I actually thought the aftermarket barrel would be worse with the tighter chamber.) and haven't had any failures yet in about 300 rounds.
