These threads make me second guess my desire for a savage.

I also thought that I wanted a Savage Mark 2 BSEV until I saw a 452 Trainer in a Klinsky...

CZ 452 and 455 - IMO are the best rifles for their price range. The only other rifle to get other than a CZ is a Cooper or Anshultz, and that will cost you a minimum of $2,000.

CZ are the way to go !

Do they make anything in stainless? Living so close to the beach I've had my dad's stuff rust like crazy.

It is discontinued but they did back in 2011 make the CZ 452 Style.

I assume they discontinued it as they probably will be releasing something similar in the 455 configuration in the near future.

Not sure if this is still available.

It appears that http://deltaepsilonguns.com/ reported on RFC that he has 5 CZ452 trainers in stock and to PM him over there if you were interested in one.

A bunch of guys were asking me about 452 trainers the last couple of weeks, and I just lucked out and got 5 of them (They should be here this week but not sure the exact date). If your still looking for one, send me a message. The last batch sold out pretty fast. Dale

                        .22lr

My farmer or "basic" is the bottom of the line CZ .22lr rifle but still the same cz quality. Unlike the higher end CZ's it doesn't have an adjustable trigger.

For the record, with the aperture sights and aftermarket stock, I have spent under $500 for this rifle after selling off the original stock (sold it in literally 5 minutes from posting it on RFC for $110 shipped for my Trainer Beechwood stock).

It is actually a BRNO Sight system with an Anshultz rear aperture and sun shade.

The adapter is made by this gentleman here.

Receiver sight aperture Tang sight apertures Aperture Adapters Tang sight screws Pistol/Revolver grip screws

He has one for both Anshultz or Gehmann depending on your choice of sights.

Apertures and more has also the front shade that goes on the front side of the rear aperture to create more contrast for easier sight picture.

To get the front and rear BRNO Apertures, to my knowledge, the only person that sells them in the entire nation is Denny whom is a RFC member and a local in Fountain Valley, CA. You can order the sights from him by contacting him via email.

                                ajakubec [at] aol [dot] com

Also if you are looking for essentially any imported aftermarket part for CZ's, Denny is your man. He use to own a firearm store and imported products from Czechoslovakia, but since then, he is now doing the firearm accessory sales on the side and working on a house in Austria for his retirement. Without Denny, us CZ owners will be stuck trying to figure out how to import firearm parts without violating some kinda law. Every BRNO sight and ever Klinsky stock you have seen a photo in the states online is from Denny.

P.S. This is the person you also contact for Klinsky stocks.
