shot colibri through 5 layers of cardboard that were on top of a piece of plywood. bullet disintegrated but had punched 1/2 way through the plywood.

    this was point blank

shot it about 100 feet into a tree. it was stuck in the tree trunk.. . you have to aim a little high with it to hit the mark. would have hated to be the "tree" and get hit with it.

Its subsonic.. I think that means slow? Its a whisper quiet round. Bought a brick for 20 bucks pre panic.

you can play with colibri in the backyard...pellet gun quiet out of a bolt carbine; but still has a sharp pop with pistola...now super colibri, i think that's too dangerous to use in the same manner; too much velocity and pop...

i prefer cci cb Longs to colibri...

They're both pretty loud out of a 2" handgun. Surprisingly so, compared to a rifle.
But we love 'em. The boy gets to practice at the farm without freaking out the hippies.

I shoot tons of these, even out of several .22 rifles but mostly out of my Single Six. I've never had a squib yet, but it won't cycle a semi-auto.

I assure you, it won't bounce off a paper target. It would penetrate skin and hurt like hell if you got shot with one of these!

$0.14/round is far too expensive. Wait out the panic and you can find these normally for $0.05/round.

I've shot a ton of Colibri and Super Colibri. No problems at 7 yards, and it does penetrate more than you'd think. Makes some noise out of pistols, the shorter the barrel, the more noise; but it's fairly quiet in rifles. I only have one rifle with a tight barrel that has a problem with them.

One watch-out - if firing a lot in a revolver (I have a Single Six), a carbon ring builds up that makes it hard to chamber regular .22LR. Make sure you clean the cylinder after Colibri if you plan on shooting .22LR.

I bought a few boxes of regular and super colibri to shoot ground squirrels and had great luck. my daughter and I just sat under a tree with an old savage bolt .22 and shot over 400 rounds and the squirrels did not even know that we were killing them until it was over. It was funny to watch because as one was hit his buddy would stand up to see what happened and pop one more down
The best part of hunting and fishing was the thinking about going and the talking about it after you got back

So is the super colibri decent enough out to 25 yards?

I haven't used the round, but for 22LR, I would hope to get higher quality ammo for 14 cents a round. Especially since you see Remington GB 500 packs for under 10 cents a round, I personally think it is a better round and bet than purchasing these rounds.

From this vid, looks like I can just plink some cans in my backyard as if it were a BB gun.

Go with Colibri. Super Colibri is too loud.
