If you are not yet an NRA member, then join. Then contribute as much $$ as you can afford to their Legal fund. The NRA will fight these laws (if they become law) all the way to the SCOTUS. The NRA knows that if these new proposed laws are passed that other states will follow CA's example.

Many good points made here and a worthwhile discussion but our words are not gonna stop these new laws if they are passed, only our $$$.

I dont think you would encounter LEO out in the field. My firearms go from the house to the range. Also I have been vocal locally about the whole gun issue. For everyone of us that comes to the site and knows the politcs that is going on there is at least 5 other that own guns and have no clue that they have a potential AW. You cant arrest everyone.

What good are firearms if you have to bury/hide/disassemble/ship out of state ? When they( the rest of the states) figure out that they can take them
there won't be anywhere to go.

And waiting for SCOTUS to accept a case and rule in our favor ( which if any of the Heller 5 goes), it will be a long time to have them every see the light of day again. I can say it won't be " in two weeks".

And I have been looking for anytime that the NRA has ever done anything for
us in CA and haven't found anything ( not saying they haven't just can find anything ). So waiting for them could take just as long if not longer.

Me , I'll do what I need to do when the time comes for me and mine, until then I hope for the best.
