I am another Walther P22 shooter. Read the walther manual recommending CCI mini mags, read a follow up Web-r-nets report that Golden Bullet is reming5tons generic mini mag knock off. I 've used a bunch of them in my Walther with no issues. I've seen a lot of other folks curse them though.

I have not had very many FTF's with REM GB's... I'll shoot them all day long now, given the ammo shortage. If the 10/22 starts acting up, I give it a quick clean and go back to plinking with a big phat smile on my face.

I went out to the range today with my Ruger MkIII 22/45 5.5" Bull Barrel. Shot 200x golden bullet, 200x Thunderbolt, 200x CCI Mini-mag. The only misfeed I had was with the Mini-mag and it almost cut the bullet in half >_>

Went to the range to test out the box of 500 GB on the Umarex Colt M4 (newer model with the improved safety switch) and it was smoooooooth. I had practically no FTF or FTE's. The stuff is dirty as heck and I had to spend a long time cleaning, but it was still fun to shoot. I put some on my friend's 10/22 and it shot without any problems. I think the GB are cheap and decent if your gun has no problems handling it. Do I think its the best? Heck no! Its still fun to shoot when its smooth and doesn't jam.

I am a big fan of the Golden Bullet as well. I have had a lot of luck with it's accuracy out of both my M&P 15-22 and my CZ 452 Trainer.

The stuff is definitely dirty, but I don't mind cleaning as long as I get to shoot in these times of ammo deficiency. Price is pretty darn good as well and a great practice round. The Remington ammo has come a long way.

My semi's don't like GB, but it's fine for plinking in my bolt actions. If I want the best groupings out of my .22s I use either CCI mini-mags or federal automatch.

I was able to hit a metal target at 100 yard consistently with just the iron sights. I think the bullets are just as accurate as most 22 LR rounds.

I did notice the bullets are rougher in the region where the bullet is pressed into the brass shell than my CCI or Winchester M22's. The lead looks like its been roughed up and you can feel the sharp edges on your finger tips. It may be the reason why people have FTF issues with the ammo. The rough edges will tend to bind against your feed ramp or your magazines. The same areas are very smooth on the M22 and the CCI ammos.

I used to have a lot of failure to fires with the bulk packs of 550 Round of Remington GB (no priming mix in rim), however since they came out with the boxes of 225 and 525 I have had far fewer failures. They feed well in the Ruger MkIII, 10/22, CMMG conversion for in my S&W Sport, and Ciener 22lr conversion for my 1911A1. A lot to ask for from some of the cheapest bulk 22lr on the market.

I hear a lot of people talk bad about Golden Bullets, however, I've never had an issue with them. I also have a couple rimfires that prefer them over many other brands.
