    Golden Bullets are the best.....

For my Ruger MK II. After two trips to the range trying 6 different bullet types the Golden Bullet seams to work best. Smallest 5 shot group. Second was MM JRN, Third was ?Thunder Bolt?? Forth Blazer LRN, Fifth Win HP, and last was the Fed HP. Today all fed with no problem what-so-ever. First 10 shots were OH, second 10 from bench with Sand Bag rest. 20 shots each type. I looked at the overall group size , smallest group, most touching groups of 2 or more and closest to POA. All from 7 yards with the stock fixed sights. Will do this a couple of times more and see if these results will stay the same. All indoor. I did not think the GB or the TB would perform that high.
    See you at the range.

I went in with no pre-concieved thoughts on what would be the best. After i get better will kick it out to 15 yards and see what the results will be. Then will try my match stuff. My Glenfield/Marlin 60 hates the GB and the TB stuff, loves the MM and Blazer LRN.

Glad they worked out well for you. Shows you each .22 firearm truly has it's own ammo preference. My experience with Remington Golden bullets have not been golden in my .22 MK II or any of my other .22 pistols.

The OP isn't the first to poo-poo the "GB are junk" bunch. Good illustration of the fact that rimfires are ammo picky - or, in the OP's case he's lucky and his Ruger isn't. I'd hang on to that one!
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I just got some of the golden bullets to test out. I've really enjoyed the blazer .22 in my ruger 22/45, hopefully the golden bullets work out well in it as well.

The new "Improve Golden Bullets" works great. I have fired about 2800 rounds with only about a hand full of failure to fire. No feeding problems or FTE in my SR22, Browning 1911-22, M&P22, HK-MP5 .22 and ruger 10/22. I have notice that does shoot dirty, compared to Winchester 555 or M22 Etc.

I opened the thread as I though it may be a joke. I had a GB blow up in chamber that ruined a barrel. Not happy at all with GB.

I've never had a problem with GB. It's actually pretty accurate in my pistols.

Good for you OP, glad they worked out....

I had a box of 550 that I bought when I picked up my 22A last month (it was the only big brick the shop had in stock). I had never used them before and I didnt like them much. The first 200 rounds out of the box I had FTF, FTE's and jams. I have 2 large pill bottles full of the FTF's complete with the strike mark from the firing pin. The next 250 did a little better, but still at least 1 FTF on each mag. When I was at the range Friday, I even had one fail to feed and the bullet broke off from the shell.

I have 100 rounds left, and when that is gone I wont be buying anymore.

But if your gun likes em, then shoot em

7yds is not a good accuracy indicator for such gun. U need to test it at 50yds. The ruger is far more capable than a regular handgun . You may be very dissapointed. Gb 22lr is the WOrst 22 ammo ever produced and many will agree. Its dirty as hell fouls up very quick and isnt priced well either compared to the fed or win value packs

I have had more problems with Federal not firing...

I have never had an issue with case-head-separation with golden bullets either.

I think I have had like 2 duds with Federal, but this is out of like 2000.

This IS only out of my 10/22.
