best scope for ruger 10 22

I am looking for a good scope for my ruger 10 22 for under 200 dollars. What do you have on your rifle and what do you think of the nikon p223?

I have a Nikon rimfire BDC. It's nice, I like the quick AO. So far it's been durable too! Plenty of options out there, Mueller is really nice, APV or target will be my next scope.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

I have one of these on my Savage 93R17 FV and wouldn't be worried about adding one to my 10/22 I did use Burris Signature rings.
I shot this group with it 25 rounds back to back at 100 yards.

I vote for #1 on roushstage2's recommendations! I have one and its a nice piece of glass for the cash.

+1 for this group and add a Weaver RV7 2.5-7x28 rimfire and a Sightron S1 3-9x32 rimfire to the list. It just depends what you want to do with it for hunting and plinking a 2-7x or 3-9x rimfire scope is a great choice. For serious target shooting you'll want one of the more powerful AO equipped scopes.

I have Weaver V24 6-24x42 w/AO scopes on two of my target 10/22 rifles and Weaver RV9 and Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 w/BDC for my hunters.

Avoid the cheap Walmart specials, BSAs, NcStars, etc like a plague.

I did a little research on the topic as well and decided on the Mueller Optics 4.5-14x40 AO APV - $130

My 10/22 is due to get out of jail next week so we'll see how that goes...

                      BSA sweet 22

I put one on my daughters 10/22 build and she rocks a 3" spinner at 100 yards.

Not bad for an 11yr old.

Yeah all you folks down south would be jealous of us near Chico where we can go to a public range nearby. It is pretty cool, just have to watch out for the unsafe folks. Guess you get what you pay for sometimes, huh?
