Here are my born on the 4th of July Twins last year at Burro shooting the 22s. 3 options for scopes/red dot, I believe they were under $200 when I purchased them except the Leupold. Posted on another what scope to buy thread

Leupold VX-II 3-9x33 EFR on the bench, Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32 on the TD, ProPoint Optima on the compact

What type of mounts are you using on the 10/22 breakdown? It looks like you don't have a weaver-type rail base.

I really like adjustable objectives (AO) on my bench 10/22s. I tend to like challenging myself at different distances with .22 so an AO is nice to keep the image focused and minimize parallax. Roushstage 2 gives you several good choices with AO. Bought the Mueller recently and highly recommend it.

Weaver see through mounts specifically for 10/22, but since have changed them to the Leupold versions of the same type.

I have the same ones. They are cleverly designed so you can use the iron sights and scope without changing anything.

Let me ask for some help. Looking at the vortex crossfire II in either 2-7 or 3-9. Which one would be best, an which reticle would be best on a savage mkII?

For a .22, either of those magnifications are fine. Personal preference, IMO, as are reticles. I generally stick with the "standard" 3-9x. For $120 though, I'd go with the Nikon ProStaff Rimfire 3-9x.

Appreciate the help. Can't find a Nikon prostaff 3-9 to save my life

I 104th the mueller apv. I am very impress with the scope vs the cost.

You're not trying very hard. I googled it and top 3 choices had it in stock for $120. I need to pick one up myself.

Good scope $120, I enjoy the fine crosshairs.
