Ditto. I "un-tacticaled" my 10/22, sold all the parts on CalGuns, and just put a nicer barrel and hogue overmold on rifle.

Would like a 2nd 10/22 to play with but I rather have a different gun than duplicates of one.

Select a stock and scope to fit your shooting style. I like benchrest so my latest build uses an Anschutz style thumbhole stock. If you want something a lot cheaper look at Boyd's offerings including their Tacticool 10/22 stock. If you prefer solid walnut or more elegant solid wood or laminated wood options then don't forget Revolution Stocks and Bell & Carlson. For a target shooting scope I highly recommend a Weaver V24 6-24x42 like I have on two of my builds, Natchez has the same scope with other reticle designs on sale from $270-320.

Worth every penny

I have that same stock and it's the most comfortable stock on any rifle I own. I'd get one if you decide to go the "precision" way with your 10/22.
