Put a .300 win mag right at the muzzle and make the .22 hit right around the primer area. May just be a bit more fun that way and I'm sure you'd feel a little something more........

Thank you for your concern, I am purchasing a reverse muzzle brake, to increase recoil, (More recoil from each shot fired from a .22 LR) but have no interest in breaking any laws, As I have been a member of the Armed Forces and hold a high security clearance. I would be a fool to lose everything that I have worked so hard for. Slide Fire is too grey for me to touch.

I don't know why you would want more felt recoil, maybe to similate a ar-15 a bit more. Best bet would be to use heavier grain bullets and loosen your grip.

Decades ago, Colt made a .22lr barrel and slide for the 1911 pistol. It had a "floating chamber" that would create the same recoil impulse as a .45ACP. I've never seen one, don't have any idea what it looks like. It was called the Colt Ace. You might do some research on that and see if it could be adapted to your gun.

Here is the colt ace with the floating chamber for added recoil. Not exactly sure how it worked, but kind of a neat idea.

Just guessing here, how about using a lighter buffer spring?

+1 and hotter ammo. If you're reverse muzzle brake is light weight it might help.

That's a good guess if it were a centerfire AR, but there's no buffer spring or buffer in the M&P15/22; the receiver extension is solid polymer.
