Is there a way to create more recoil?

    Hello Calguns,

Is there some way to create more recoil in a S&W M&P 15-22?
I adjusted to a higher ammo type (Winchester Super X), but am looking to see if anyone can advise me on how to get more felt recoil feedback per shot.

.22LR great rifle, just feel a want for a bit more recoil.

    Thank you

Aguila SuperMax ammo, 1750fps, .22lr, 30grain bullet. Hotest .22lr ammo on the planet.

just a comment, even though the ammo is hot you wont get super recoil. A 40 grn 22 mag round traveling at 1910 fps will have significantly lower recoil feel then a 223 and only marginally higher then a 40 grn 22lr traveling at 1435 fps.

What are you looking for with the recoil?

Maybe wait for the new .17 Winchester Super Magnum. 17 gr bullet @ 3000fps and 20 or 25 gr bullet @ 2600fps. Probably the most recoil one can get in a rimfire cartridge but even then it probably won't be much.

I shoot rimfire so I don't have to deal with the recoil, bad right shoulder.

You need something like a reverse muzzle brake..

Use a brake with the hole pointed downwards. Will increase muzzle flip which isn't the same as recoil but you'll "feel more" action from the rifle.

A thumbtack on the recoil pad might "help".

Respectfully gentlemen, I own a larger caliber AR-15.
Its just the S&W M&P 15-22 is cheaper, by 90% to shoot.
I am going to have to research a reverse muzzle brake.

Hire a guy to smack you on the shoulder with a rubber mallet each time you fire.
