    Are .22 rifles still available

Sorry for the noob question just curious how the 10/22/'s rifles stock is holding up. I know the AR's are rare but can you still get a ruger for a reasonable price??

It is hit and miss these days. For a 10/22 Big 5 seems to always have them. AR style are cleaned out.

I think hit and miss is a pretty good description. If you want one you should be able to get one, possibly with a little leg work, possibly having a dealer check their distributor a few times, possibly not the exact submodel you wanted. But no kind of massive wait list or price gouging. Maybe a little trickier if you wanted a takedown model.

Awesome, Thanks guys! Since all my other guns were lost in a boating accident I think this will be my last purchase if I can find one!

The big 5's where I live don't display the tactical .22's right now - but have them in stock. You should be able to still find something at Big 5- good luck

My local Big 5 only has 2 Marlin 795s left when I swung over on Saturday. They are all out of tactical .22s.

I think right now if you can find something at a price you find reasonable then grab it. You just don't know when they will dry up.

You'll have better luck finding 10/22's than bulk 22lr ammo.

I picked mine up from Big 5 two weeks ago. They had three on the rack when I picked mine up, so they are out there.

What do you guys prefer, the carbine or takedown? I undertand that there are more cool stock options for the standard 10/22 but I like the idea of the takedown . Kind of like seperating the upper from the lower on an AR only mini!!

I picked the TD version just for ease of transport.

Just picked up a marlin 795
There are still 22s but 10/22 is like others said above a hit or miss

I got lucky and picked up a 10/22 takedown from big 5 about 2 weeks ago. They are out there. Good luck
