Cabelas shipping department sucks. I have orders from 2 weeks ago that still haven't shipped and people have orders from the last couple days that already have. I have a fresh fire can from 2 weeks ago still on backorder but the one from last week is already at the store for pickup!

Maybe after so much backdoor action they don't have good outlet control... I'm sure the other fine retailers would accept your business.

I'm not to concerned with it never shipping, just doesn't make sense as to the order of things. I can't imagine how busy they must be though.

I was in Phoenix over the weekend and stopped in the Cabelas in Glendale, never been in one before only BPS, and the shelves were fully stocked with every caliber you could imagine except for .22 and 9mm.

No it doesnt make sense at times.
Its a massive system.
Miracle that it runs as smooth as it does.
I had Blazers sit on BO for almost 3 weeks while other Blazers ordered after that were arriving at my door daily.
I don tthink its the shipping deptartment.
They will ship the orders that print out for that day/shift.
Its the electronic system that generates the shipping orders that holds up the show.

Just messing with you. I know they make no sense how they do things (however it is they do that), but they ship, they ship lots, they don't charge until they ship, and they don't price gouge. If I needed it tomorrow, I'd go elsewhere, but for stocking up, they are a solid #1 right now.

And other than the free shipping of over $50 from Gander, their shipping costs are very reasonable. $5 for anything, anywhere. Most of the month of December, shipping was free, no minimum. We are due for a free shipping offer. Maybe around Easter.

Cabelas is a Monster player in the game.
My bet is all the manufacturers keep them happy.
I used to load semi trailers for a Nestle plant.
Walmart trailers were high priority.
You couldnt short ship them.
If you were short on something you took it off of another customers load to keep WM happy.
I'm sure C gets similar priority in the outdoor/ammo world.

I've heard from a lot of places, that dealer orders are not all treated equally, and that quantities are rationed based on factors such as previous sales, price relative to MSRP, etc. I don't know any specifics, but it sure seems C is one of the golden children with CCI.
