I was going to say 10 boxes of Golden Bullets for $399 wasn't INSANELY high, but looks like it's the 225 ct boxes, not the 525's.

Those were 525s. It's not a total rip off. Better then most prices in the MP.

I just wish I had some good finds to post right now!

I haven't participated in this thread much at all lately. This thread has run its course and now its just a resource for the hoarders and price gougers. I'm guessing that's why the Randy guy started his post in a less viewed area. It will weed out the moochers and flippers. I'm willing to bet they have this thread on instant email notification as well. (Damn they are going to be pissed when they see this post and no cheap ammo link).

Notice the trend with the new members on this thread, majority of their posts are in this thread, and no links in return.

Has anyone heard anything about that new Remington plant in Arkansas? It is planed to open 2nd quarter 2014, and will double there 22lr production capacity. Other than last summer when they broke ground, I hav'nt heard a peep. That should be a few drops in the bucket. BiggB

While we chuckle at those high prices for ammo, flipping ammo is a viable business. Dude wouldn't be asking $75 for a 500 brick for M22s if he wasn't getting it.

Maybe this is a stretch, but Starbucks and Coffee Bean flip merchandise daily. The majority of their baked goods are available at the local bakeries they contract with (and many baked goods are not proprietary). Starbucks $2.75 slice of a fudge marble cake is available at a bakery in Pacoima (in L.A.) for $2.00. And who knows what contract price Starbucks pays for each baked good.

Many may not like the flippers because how it affects you directly. But it's done daily with items you bought for your homes. Even the gasoline you put in your tank may have been flipped (on the wholesale market - different then a distributor). Let the economics of supply and demand work and while flippers are here to stay, their margins will weed out those who are greedy. ..and if you feel the need to vent, better here then what alternative your deranged mind may think up.

Just a heads up:

The policy at Lohman Arms is pretty much "everything is on backorder". They'll let you load up a cart of 20 boxes of 555 but no telling when it would ship.

I placed an order with them last March, and it was backordered for 3 months, as

FWIW, I appreciate all the folks who helped and nurtured the ammo poor. I finally have enough ammo to give to my dad (he went and bought his first .22 firearm in more than 30 years and is thrown this wicked ammo curve-ball), the few bricks I gave to a neighbor for his sons, and I sold a couple bricks at my cost to a couple young coworkers who bought their very first firearms arms this last year. They can now shoot them for the very first time as well.

A lot of enthusiasts can now enjoy their hobby again, at a decent cost, while a few new ones are being brought on board.

Again, thank you all for fulfilling the namesake of this thread and not keeping it to yourselves like some secret rimfire society.
