The biggest rule of thumb to minimize potential cancelled orders is to order no more than one of any give item per day.

Bottom line, to pass the ignorant indoor Nazi R/O's magnet test.
Face it...some Tactical Dans and/or Range owners, are just plain stupid.
There was a huge fire at my indoor range supposedly caused by sparks from bi-metal ammo. Whether bi-metal ammo really caused it I don't know, but I do know that they don't want another fire, so they'd like to minimize the chances of it. It's their range and they're concerned with everyone's safety. So is "ignorant Nazi" really a suitable characterization?

We have bi-metal bans for most of the year even outdoors. I'm convinced that bi-metal goes in the BFD category on any reasonably designed range and that tracers are the real culprits, but rules are rules, and those who don't like them can try to get their own range underwritten and permitted without them or drive out to BLM land. Stash both and just accept that shooting at an established range has added costs.

As I understand it most NATO rounds are steel core and it is not a fire issue, but one of more damage and penetration potential in the backstops. At least that's what the two indoor ranges near me say.

There are 3 different concerns, all of which are controversial. In addition to fire and damage to the backstop, there's also concern about bits of the bi-metal ammo ricocheting all the way back to the firing line. I don't know if any of them pose a real danger, but I'd say any possibility of #1 or #3 is reason enough to ban the ammo.

A bit off topic, but ran across some bad news for Connecticut gun owners...
I'm interested to see how they are going to start confiscating their guns...
