If my wife orders under her name and CC would that be asking for trouble?

Someone posted up earlier that they've emailed them twice about cancelled orders stating it says one per person not per household and Cabela's replied with an apology and shipped out the items with free shipping!

Happened to me last year. Evidently they still haven't gotten in touch with "corporate" yet! haha

Different names, different credit cards, same address. It's kind of a crap shoot.

In the grand scheme of things, I figured it wasn't worth complaining about again since it seemed like more trouble than it was worth for me personally.

If you buy more than one a day with any CC in your name - regardless of who or where you ship to - you are asking for trouble. Not Judging - Just saying.

I have bought a second in a day using my wifes CC and her name - even thought the shipping address is the same as mine - that worked fine.

From what I can tell, they are looking at the billing address. My wife and I each have our own Cabela's accounts and credit cards for purchases - but we share the same address (although my recent ammo purchases might threaten that!).

I'm pretty sure the Cabela's patrol (see image below) only looks at shipping address, even if you are having it shipped to the store (which is what I do).

Well said. There is no rhyme or reason to why some get through and some don't. Magic 8 ball is the only logical answer.

I got somebody on the phone a while back and as reliable as they are on info, this was that guy's understanding. The order filters through a number of places, and any one of them can spot and toss an order. The credit department tends to use credit declined or something like that, warehouse and shipping uses changed mind, or out of stock for season if they don't like it.

There is no automated system, and they care just enough to skim as they go, and I really doubt they give a rats if there are missed double dips or orders that get nipped that shouldn't.
