If you can order four or multiples of four it seems like the best bet for packing.

This and the last couple orders inbound put me +12,000 rounds in the past few weeks. Thank you Rimfire Finds!
Got my Winchester super-x and American eagle Hp's from Gander today. Looks like Fed=ex threw it at my front step.. One cool red box totally broken and one bullet totally smashed. Solid corner shot. That one will never chamber. They shipped ten super x's in one box, and ten Am. eagle in another box. Lame. The little plastic strips they use to secure items together are worthless. But I did get a shipping notification of 10 CCI AR tactical today Hopefully they use the factory packaging there. I'm not a very exciting guy, so I've never shot anything tactical before. How does it feel???

Midway has some Remington Subsonic HP's as well as a couple of new choices in RWS.

Well. Now that I have had my first two rifles for a week I've learned that stocking up on 12 different types of ammo may not have been that wise. Seems that each rifle loves some types. And won't even load others.

And I'm scared to shoot the hypervelocity stuff I bought.

So what do most of you do? Find a favorite ammo type for each 22. And just buy that?

I found it wise to stock different ammo types and make a range book for every gun so I can discover which is the best for each particular gun. Who would have thought my ar-22 shoots 3 moa with remington gb at 100 yards.

I also find that different lots matter so it is better to get large bulk orders and offload the bad lots.

In other news, I had an order of bucket of bullets spill in my box. There were literally cartridges falling out onto my driveway. Gander took full responsibility, refunded most of the money, and held 2 replacement buckets for me to purchase with the refund.

...cause last time I did - it was with the wobble packing from PSA.

              =8-)
I got lucky last Thursday, walked into Walmart around noon time and they had a few bricks of CCI SV in stock, got it for $35 including tax :-)

I always like to try different types of ammo. I'm kinda surprised that your Marlin 60 is picky with ammo. I have a few of friends/coworkers that have one and they pretty much eat anything you put in them. I have a bunch of Remington Thunderbolts and Winchester bulk that I don't particularly like because they run dirty but they run fine in a regular 10/22 and a takedown. If I ever wanted to get rid of them I won't have a problem selling or trading them off for something else. So I don't regret buying them since junk ammo in my rifles may be someone else's "golden bullet".

Hmm...anyone know how to can stuff? I wan't some ammo canned before I start messing with them. I have a bad habit of opening up the boxes and looking at the ammo in them.

I'm sure it's not legal in CA to do that.
