That happened to me on a previous order. First it was fine, then backordered and then the BO date got moved till the end of August.

Oh well, at least I grabbed a brick of em on a different order and it shipped.

Not too bad with free shipping "SH265" code if they deliver. I like SG for a lot of things, but only if it is in-stock. I'll try this one more time. They had a case of .357 Sig ammo for me on backorder for months and then cancelled saying it wan't coming in.

I stocked up from SG a couple years ago but have severed relations with them since I returned a defective scope and they refused to send a replacement claiming it was "prohibited" in California!

Wow, that's crazy! What kind of scope was it - a 50 BMG trigger activating assault scope? Weird.

I just joined this year, and found a few annoyances with them as far as backorders, but mostly positive. Lots of free shipping codes, and I have stocked up on hi-brass 12-gauge, 168 grain .308, defensive 9mm, .40, and .45 through them this year all with free shipping.

I traded emails with a number of people at SG they didn't care that those same scopes are sold here in CA OR the fact Barska ships to SG FROM CA! Had I known I would have just sent it down to Barska for repair.

Thanks for the Cabelas link. Just ordered some.

For those of you in the Bay Area, Imbert and Smithers has been stocking 22LR w/ a limit of 100 or 200 (sometimes I go in and they have limit 200, sometimes 100 doesn't seem to be consistent).

But they do have 50ct boxes of Century $3.95 - they're OK loads but do just fine for plinking.

Yes, I was. I haven't had a C&R Lic for quite a while, but my application is in this year. We will see how long it takes. I think the days of $40 sweet shooting Mausers and Mosins are gone, but maybe there's a few more overpriced SKS's in my future.
