That way you buy box o'ammo for $24.99 plus $5 shipping for a total of $29.99.

Interesting question, but I have no idea. Maybe if you put over half on the Cabela's Visa? or maybe not at all, I don't know.

Well, in short, gift card balance should be carried over but that would defeat the purpose of using the BigC Visa for the shipping credit.

Hence why lately the $25 cards usually sell out 1st.

Never tried to use only part of a card to keep a tiny balance left over for the Visa and $5 shipping.(Don't know if it's possible.)

Lately I've purchased $20, $25 & $30 for the single brick thingy we've seen of late.
I occasionally keep at least a $50(Or more) for the Bucket/M-22 or the lucky times we get more than 1.(Like last week.)

Be aware of the risk in purchasing electronic gift cards from internet secondary exchanges.

If the electronic card is fraudulent, the merchant could come after you, since they would know who used the card in an online purchase. This could happen shortly after your purchase or sometime in the future. The Internet secondary sellers say they guarantee the cards, but who knows? Lots of things could happen, including hacking, and chargebacks from the original buyer's credit card.

A physical card, when redeemed in the store, on a full or partial basis, for a cash purchase, does not have the same risk.

Thanks. Makes perfect sense. I was thinking you get a greater discount with the higher denomination cards, but that's not so. So it's probably best to not fully pay for the purchase with the gift card, having a bit left, so that you use your Cabelas Card and get $5 shipping. I got it. Now I have to get it.
