Ammo Finds - Post them here

So the flipper i called out yesterday has been pming me, bragging about making double profit off ammo and reported me to moderators.

Well looks like the mods did something about it since I can't seem to find your posts about it from yesterday.

It is the definition of scalping. I don't need a law to call somebody an unethical douche. People want to stock up to not be subject to scalpers, and I support them. If somebody at a range admitted to being a scalper I'd tell them to suck the wrong end of donkey so apparently I'm not "better than that". If it makes you feel any better, disassociation is the extent of the energy I waste on such losers.

Back on topic...anyone notice that Gander, Midway, Cabela's, Natchezss and 98% of on-line only vendors don't sell Winchester 300, 333 or 555 bricks? These bricks seem only to be sold by brick and mortar stores like Big 5, Dick's or Walmart.

As far as flipping goes I don't see why someone pays crazy prices locally.
Lazy? Panick stricken? No credit card?
Crazy expensive ammo can be had online if you want it.
I'm too cheap to buy .22s beyond 6 or 7 cents rd.
I'm glad the Cabelas and Walmarts etc havent upped the prices much since the panick.
That will bring them back in line for all the retailers as the market smooths out.
$99 for a $25 brick of Federals??
I think as obamas final term winds down the flippers will be put out of business by reasonably priced inventory becoming available.
In the mean time I have enjoyed this thread immensely.

No thanks. I manage fine on my own. When I first came here in October, I managed to buy a couple of deals with the help of this forum. Since then, I drop in once in a while and I have tried to contribute, but it seems I am never fast enough to post before some of the other guys. I was just observing that lately it seems to have turned into a total zoo with the all the bickering and whining. I am not concerned about the chit chat or the off topic stuff, that has never bothered me. My comment was about the childish behavior of some participants and how it makes me cringe when I imagine them owning weapons of any sort.

For some reason, those have been scarce anywhere you look for quite a while, online or in stores. Doesn't matter to me as I was never a fan of Winchester rimfire ammo anyways. And with the latest M22 recall, even less so.

I don't like flipping either but it's the free market at work... It costs extra to be uninformed or lazy....

I just try to help everybody I know get ammo.

These Winchester bricks were (sparingly) available at Big 5 and Dicks in November and December. I was looking at my 'stash' this morning and realized haven't seen these bricks on-line. But it appears they have been available.

Agreed. If the people jumping all over the .22s for sale in the "ammo for sale" section new about this thread the flippers would be in trouble quick.

Kind of. It is scalping and creating artificial monopolies. I get it when a business prices a product to not stock out. Depending on your business model, you have to. But little dill weeds that clear off shelves just to hold it hostage are pathetic little basement dwellers to me.

I agree. scalping ammo just reduces my faith in humanity. However, I like to believe most of the folks on this forum are generous with their ammo. Giving it away to those in real need. We're a community that share our finds, then share our ammo. You see it all the time here. IMO the positive on this forum outweighs the negative.

Flippers gona flip...just life. I had a few friends who used to flip concert tickets to pay their rent or fill up their tank. Its a pain to deal with but times are tough maybe he needs the money.

As for the banter, I think it helps weed out the guys who just want links to deals and when they have to sift through the chatter they might get discouraged and leave. They are probably not trying to contribute anyway.
