I just use quick detach scope rings.

Just mount it using QR rings. Holds zero well enough for me. We're not talking about 300+ yd accuracy here.

Well after reading the sticky about scopes (should have done that first) and using all the advise, I went with the Leupold 2 x 7 x 28. Blew my budget, but the optics seemed outstanding and it should fit in the bag.
PS; It was also nice to buy something "Made in USA".
