Are rimfires immune to the panic frenzy?

Just wondering if the the tacticool and rimfire pistol prices and ammo will be threatened by this madness in the centerfire marketplace?

when no more .223 rifles..or .223 is too expensive..people tend to shoot .22lr
Back in 2008 it was difficult to even find .22lr ammo at Turners.

Saw a lot of .22 being sold this last week, but I think it was mostly guys getting them for the kids for Christmas. The rush was just getting in the way for Santa.

I sure as h**l hope it's immune... I ordered some .22 a few days ago to try and beat the rush if one comes. Hope it doesn't.

Last time, the ban was on all magazines over 10 rounds excluding .22lr. There's no guarantee they will follow the last blueprint, but I'd be surprised. 22s should be safe.

Chances are the politicians will paint this issue with an extremely broad brush, they always do.

Only TUBE FED rimfire, ie .22lr rifles were exempt from the magazine capacity restriction in 2000. If it's a removable magazine, reguardless of caliber, one is still limited to 10 rounds. Unless one owned greater than 10 round magazines in ANY caliber prior to Jan 1, 2000.

try to buy either m-22 or other "tactical ar 22lr" ammo in person or online. or go to cheaper than dirt and see how every single m&p magazine is out of stock....

from my quick survey of stuff in san diego, 22 is not immune at all as very little of the guns or ammo are around.
Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

.22 LR ammo is not immune. It got hit hard.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm gonna be shooting more 9mm and .45 ACP because I can re-load them. For .22 LR I only have a box of 525 plus maybe another 100 round left. It's a stinky situation.

EDIT: I was in San Diego the other day and one of the walmarts had Remington Golden Bullets but there is a good reason why the are left...

Was it the new an improved Remington Golden's?
I was using those in a test the other day, they ran great.
Test was through 10/22, 795 and CMMG

I am in 91722 and going to be doing a bulk buy if anyone is interested and wants to get in the buy.

Wow, didn't expect the response so far.... So I'm not the only one concerned about ammo and other tools.

I'm glad I stocked up on mags for the m4-22 and m&p 15-22 earlier this summer.

I checked my local Walmart this morning and the only ammo left were the hunting calibers and .40 S&W.
