stopped by the Walmart in La Habra today and they're basically out of 22lr. had some 22shorts and CCI minimax left in there. that was it.

slim picking on pretty much everything else aside the odd caliber and target load shells.

ah well, still got 1k at home i'll have to use sparingly till i come across some again.

Mini-mags were $6.99/100 at ammotogo, now they're $9.99/100. Immune? Not.

If anyone needs 22lr in the Temecula Valley, Faith Armory has PLENTY!

I don't know about SteelWater, as they were closed on Wed, you know... the usual shopping day after a Tues. Holiday.
(Sorry SteelWater, you are still my goto place, except on Wednesdays. )

You won't find an AR .22.
CMMG informed me today that because of the recent developments, panic buying, and lack of parts, AR's are back ordered at least 6 months if you order now.

not sure but it's getting tougher to find cheap bulk ammo.
the only ones I found were mini mags and Blazers.
local Big5 and Dick's were out.

it was still $6.99 per 100 for minimags, and $30 per 500 for blazers.

I hope I didn't contribute to the .22 panic buying, but I cleared my Wal*Mart out of the Winchester 333 packs, almost 3k rounds and there weren't anymore in back. Have another 3850 coming from online to add to it plus my current stash.

                Short answer?
                No. It's not exempt.

                Long answer?
I don't think .22 rifles or handguns are going anywhere, but their features may be restricted like that of a centerfire. The problem is, the price of .22 rifles have not gone up from I've seen personally, nor has their availability been effected...

BUT... Try finding "high capacity" magazines, or ammunition. Locally, .22 has been drying up for most of 2012, and over the past two weeks, you have better luck finding life on Mars.

                //Example;

The gun show in November vs. December. In November I bought a 500 round brick of Federal American Eagle for $15. The day after the CT shooting at the gun show, same vendor, same ammo, they were $23.

When did the new/improved version come out? I used some about a year and change ago and there were constant FTFire and FTEs.

Best place (for me) is Wal*Mart for local pick-up or online if there is stock and usually the ammo counter guys are pretty cool about letting you know their delivery days and even adding certain stuff to their order, at least mine are. Biggest thing is timing; stock is there, just not for long.

Walmarts around me only have a couple boxes of golden bullet, luckily I bought a couple 1600 packs of cci a few months ago, hopefully it will be enough to hold me over

Haven't seen .22 prices go up, though its hardly in stock anywhere. People here in Phoenix are asking idiotic prices, like nearly 100 dollars for 10/22 25rd mags that used to cost less than $20. Glad I bought a few 50rd ram-line mags for mine before the panic started.

SGAmmo has case lots of 22 and PSA has some but their shipping may take awhile. If you plan on ordering bulk, talk to the ammo counter guys at WalMart. I ordered 2 sleeves (10 boxes) of 36gr MiniMags and they put it on for me and called me when it came in. Also, they should stock the Federal 525/550 packs and Winchester 333 packs. Ask and see what they say.

I saw someone posted a link to a $125 Ruger BX-25 mag on eBay... I might look for some extra mags, but only if the price is right...
