Extractor was no where to be found and I'm curios to see if that bullet come out easilyI've seen this several times with .22lr rimfire. It can happen with any rimfire, the case blows out, all the powder and power is blown out the ejection port/mag well, and the bullet, not having enough "oomph" stops somewhere in the barrel. The only damage I've ever seen done in these situations is 10/22's blowing the extractor out. If you shoot rimfires enough, your going to see this sooner or later. Make sure your run a rod down the barrel to make sure the bullet didnt stick.
I will report back tomorrow after I give it a tryComment

If that is a custom barrel then it probably has a match cut chamber profile. I've heard for the 10/22 variants with match barrels that the chamber will foul causing a round to not fully seat resulting in an out of battery discharge. So even if you go with a 22lr build, if the barrel has a match chamber, be certain to keep some pipe cleaners handy to clean out the chamber with some regularity. Glad no-one was hurt.Comment

Glad you are ok.... I had a girlfriend that didnt like guns at all....it took years of convincing for me to get her to shoot off a few rounds out of my marlin 60....i gave her the safety lecture, instructed her on form and function, etc etc......she goes to touch off the first round..and gets a case rupture...black smoke on her hands, brass tore threw her finger.....it made her physically sick and me saying...wtf?!?!. sometime you cant win for losing....anywho, sorry to detract, but again, glad all is ok.Originally posted by Lone_GunmanAmerican stormed the beaches of Normandy, not Europeans.
